Dramatic Writing / Music Composition
Joseph first began writing music under the mentorship of Tony-winning orchestrator, and neighbor, William David Brohn. Joseph studied music composition with Thomas Cabaniss, with advice from Milton Babbit, at The Juilliard School; and went on to learn invaluable lessons in stagecraft, dramatic writing, and musical theater structure from his friend, and mentor, Arthur Laurents.
Joseph recently workshopped his new musical, LOVE AFFAIR Starring Laura Osnes, Will Swenson, Stefanie Powers & Bryona Marie Parham at Signature Theatre.
In July 2014, Joseph's painting "Superman Smoking" joined the permanent collection of the Büyük Efes Sanat Art Collection, in Izmir, Turkey. His newest work continues to exhibit with the Elizabeth Cement Fine Art Gallery, in Boston, MA.
